Two Dollars Saved Is Two Dollars Earned - Or More!
Computer Economics, leading analysts specializing in the cost/benefit analysis of Information Technology, just released their ROI study on McAfee Desktop Firewall. Desktop Firewall's ability to protect both internal and remote users against blended viral threats, hackers and malicious code damage was measured against the cost of the McAfee Desktop Firewall list price. Their conclusion: companies can save a minimum of $2 - and up to $20 - for every $1 spent on McAfee Desktop Firewall. ROI results were calculated with and without the benefit of optional McAfee's policy Orchestrator management. Read it for yourself in the white papers by clicking here.

Network Associates Chosen to Defend up to Two Million US Department of Defense Systems
The Defense Information Systems Agency [DISA] - the preferred provider of integrated information solutions to US Department of Defense [DOD] customers - has added the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, McAfee Desktop Firewall and McAfee VirusScan Wireless products to its list of products available for download to DOD customers. With the contract signed in Q1 of 2002, the McAfee Security products were selected to address more blended threats and the progression of wireless connectivity throughout DOD networks. More.

McAfee TIP OF THE MONTH - How to Stop Hack Attacks
McAfee Desktop Firewall halts both external and internal hack attacks. External hackers are blocked from breaking into sensitive PCs [Human Resources, Legal, Company Strategy, R&D] using intrusion detection against common hack attacks. If an internal hacker tries to launch such attacks from a machine protected by Desktop Firewall, they are blocked at the desktop and the attempt is logged using ePolicy Orchestrator. To learn more about Desktop Firewall, and what it can do for you, read more.
